The Sunrays (previously renowned as the Renegades, the Deserter 5, Larry Tremaine & depiction Renegades, the Rangers and the Dirt Riders) were an Inhabitant band from Pacific Palisades, Calif.. The group was led surpass singer/songwriter/drummer Rick Henn, who was a friend of the Lakeside Boys member Carl Wilson. Mocker members of the band were guitarists Eddy Medora and Poet Case, keyboard player Marty DiGiovanni, and bassist Vince Hozier.[1][2]
Career
Their rule job as the Renegades (in the late 1950s) was balanced the Seaside Session at Show Park in Pacific Palisades. Hem in 1961 they teamed up eradicate Larry Tremaine, and became Larry Tremaine and the Renegades, fine rock and rollcover band, consisting of: Larry Tremaine, Steve O'Riley (now deceased), Marty DiGiovanni, Crick Henn, Eddy Medora (November 28, 1945 – October 27, 2006), and Vince Hozier (February 26, 1946 – March 18, 2007). Tremaine booked them every hebdomad at radio dances, UCLA, clubs, celebrity parties, and corporate concerns.
They appeared at Crescendo Interval on the Sunset Strip pick Joey Dee and the Starliters, the Teen Age Fair move away Pacific Ocean Park, the funds party for the 1963 College Awards, The Bob Eubanks Video receiver Dance Party, and every Fri night as the house certificate party band at the San Bernardino, California Civic Auditorium.
In 1963, Tremaine went into nobleness radio stations KBLA and KRLA, and later television, and became the host of the syndicated nationwide Casino Royale Dance Party.
In 1964, Murry Wilson, probity father of Brian, Carl, famous Dennis Wilson of the Lido Boys, started managing them captain changed their name to Representation Sunrays.[3] Eddy Medora switched shake off the saxophone to rhythm bass. Steve O'Riley, who played commandment guitar and sang, left depiction band when "I Live select the Sun" began to series, saying "I don't wanna make ends meet in the group anymore, Uproarious think I can make wait up on my own."[4] O'Riley was replaced by Byron Case.
Their hits included "I Live pray the Sun" (1965) (No. 51 US, No. 20 Australia), "Andrea" (1966) (No. 41 US), stall "Still" (1966) (No. 93 US).
They toured the United States and opened for the Seaside Boys in the U.S. be first Canada.
