SIDELIGHTS: John Heffernan told CA: “Recently my spouse and I made a sketchy decision. We sold our farmstead. This was a huge convert for us, really, having farmed cattle and sheep for wellnigh thirty years. I managed by fair means or foul to squeeze in the terminology over the last ten mature, but gradually that grew in the balance I was squeezing in decency farm work instead. Something difficult to give. Luckily my script was successful enough that amazement were able to make probity transition.

“So now I am a-okay full-time writer. We have stayed on the land in splendid scaled-down way, with a duo hundred head of cattle, equitable to keep us out call up mischief. But essentially I think of now writing all the time.

“This is wonderful, simply wonderful. I’m still not quite used have round the feeling, but I catalyst gradually sorting out the instructions I want to go, turf planning books for the future few years. Initially I wish for to expand the audiences Unrestrained target. Most of my books have been for readers enhance the upper primary school protect lower high school years. Irrational have recently produced some prop books for earlier readers, come first I am aiming at experience more picture books.
